No, I've got the latest one 2.5. I went and checked half a dozen random paths and opened saves at different points in the BBQ, every one opened fine and gave me the highlighted options. It's really weird, because I know of 4 or 5 people having the problem, but heaps of people having no issues at all. I've tried to recreate the problem but I can't on any install, so it's hard to work out what actually is going on.

I do believe that if you open the phone do something and then shut it, it fixes the issue for some people. But of course, that's a pain in the ass.

The other thing that works for them is rollback a frame and then it works too (apparently).

If I have some time after dinner tonight, I'll try a few other things and see if I can spot something.

I will try some things out myself when I'm done with work, but I can remember that rollback never worked for me in freeroam and with this issue I believe I also couldn't open the phone after loading a game in freeroam.

Might be a patch issue try re-installing the patch again it might solve the problem

Ocean moved to half chapters and the only thing it changed its now we pretend that they are half chapters, beacuse he pulls almost the same number of renders and the same 8+ months dev cycles. DPC will do his 'half chapter' in 9 months at best, most likely still year + and blame his even more High Quality renders and animations, or the ever increasing story complexity as for why updates still take forever. Bookmark it and call me Nebulousdamus!

Buuuut, my bet is on him changing nothing. He has no risks, people are too invested, DPC could come to their house and buttfuck their wives and they would still support since they need to see the ending. :HideThePain:

There are smaller devs that become impossible to fail by the time they get 2k paid members, DPC is basically uncancelable at this point.

I've had the issue as well, and three locations where I know for sure that I have loaded into and got completely stuck were in Maya's dorm looking at her closet, in the first area you're in during the Pink Rose freeroam, and in MC's study area looking at his desk. So if you do end up looking into it maybe they'll give you some clue as to what the problem is.

Luckily for me going into the phone fixes the issue most of the time.

And if you remove URM you have no problems and the freeroam works properly?

No, MC tells either of them that he can't do anything while they are together and that he also doesn't ask them to break up because he would feel guilty about it. By the time the BBQ party takes place both girls seem to at least think about a possible relationship with the MC if/when they break up.

Ah okay.

I'm really looking forward towards ep 11 onwards, to see how long it will take before MC's cheating goes further than kissing.

I was really surprised that during the pillow fortress with Josy, MC can say that he might have sex with Arieth in the future, despite everything he said in the past about her.

I want to say I have had the issue before I started using URM, but definitely after I started using it. Haven't played through again without it because I just stopped saving in those areas and besides having to open my phone to be able to get things to highlight again it hasn't been much of an issue.. But I can do a clean run and check that easily enough. It's the only mod I've been running as well. So it might be as Macky suggested and patch issue, in my case at least.

I can let you know once I learn more.
